We have an exciting opportunity to join Cumbria Police as a Warrants Assistant at their Workington Police Staiton.

This will be a part-time position working 18.50 hours over 3 days.

This role is until January 2024.

JOB PURPOSE

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Retrieve, create, administer and maintain warrants documents in a timely manner from and onto relevant systems.
- Review warrants in line with Home Office protocols.
- To deal with outside enquiries in relation to warrants, particular from offenders, magistrate's staff and other forces.
- Ensure each BCU are notified of warrants which are to be executed within their area.
- Retrieve, create, administer and maintain wanted files in a timely manner from and onto relevant systems. Review wanted files on a 30/60 day basis.
- Provide advice and guidance to members of the Constabulary in relation to all activities carried out by the warrants unit.
- To record, complete and return CICA enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure operational officers carry out the execution of witness summons within each BCU in timely manner and to expedite summonses which have been received from other police forces.
- To assist with data collection in relation to warrants for Home Office, LCJB, Performance groups, ADG's and local courts for both local and out of force warrants.
- Retrieve forfeiture orders from court systems to enable the force to actively process exhibits in a timely
- Record UAL/Recall to prison paperwork received from the Home Office, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.
- To assist in the smooth operation of the warrant section by assisting warrant team leader as and when required.
- To undertake general clerical duties in connection with administrative support for the warrants section.
- To undertake such other duties commensurate with the grade as they may be delegated

Essential Criteria
- Previous clerical experience
- Use of Office Technology & Equipment.
- A minimum of 3 G.C.S.E. at grade C or above, including English or demonstrable competence.
- IT literate
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
- Team working skills.
- Accuracy.
- Attention to Detail.
