We are currently expanding and are seeking committed and passionate Specialist Tutors to join our Disability, Access, and Learning Team.

Come and be part of a professional team committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational experience for disabled students, including those with long term health conditions, neurodiversity e.g. dyslexia and autism, physical and sensory disabilities and those experiencing mental health difficulties including neurodivergence.

**Available roles**:
1 post is 37 hours per week all year round*
4 posts are 37 hours per week for 33 weeks during Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3*
1 post is 14.5 hours per week over 2 days for 33 weeks during Term1, Term 2 and Term 3*

**As a one-to-one specialist tutor**:

- You will help students with neurodivergent profiles achieve their potential.
- You will work alongside students at all levels of study and across all disciplines to develop bespoke strategies for effective study at the university.
- You will, in collaboration with the student, investigate the challenges they have, in areas such as academic writing, critical thinking, reading and researching, and time management, and consequently, support them in developing skills and strategies to mitigate them.
- This support will be underpinned with helping and guiding your students to develop skills and strategies to become confident independent learners.
- The students you will be supporting will often have co-occurring conditions therefore your caseload will call for an understanding of the range of neurodivergent areas such dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism alongside other physical and mental health conditions.
- As a member of the Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity (SWAI) multidisciplinary team you will work collaboratively with colleagues to support students holistically.
- You will be joining an experienced, well respected, and collaborative team of specialist tutors which will give you access to a range of CPD opportunities.
