Technical Costing Product Specialist, Based in

You will be working in a small product design, process and technical support team, having contact with purchasing, finance and manufacturing operations, working in a collaborative manner to ensure that the customers receive the very best support, adviceand guidance when purchasing technical products.
The position of Technical Costing Product Specialist is based on a hybrid working pattern with 2 days working at home and 3 days spent in the office, perhaps attending a customer site meeting supported by the Product Design Engineer and attending eventsand functions. This global manufacturing client seeks a Technical Costing Product Specialist who enjoys working in manufacturing, who has a good level of technical engineering knowledge plus the ability and willingness to learn all about new products, whilstdelivering new and innovative technical manufacturing options for a diverse range of UK clients.
Working on an Oracle database, you will ensure that all quotations and pricing information is recorded correctly, helping to support the bid/tender/pricing decisions plus full product range analysis and product development.
As a Technical Costing Product Specialist, you will have an excellent work ethic and be able to respond quickly to client enquiries as they arise, both verbally and written. You will have a solid understanding of scientific and engineering principals, withthe ability to understand fundamental problems, offering solutions and outcomes for the client and the business.
Naturally, you will have Excellent organisational skills, solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate information at all levels in the business. A good working knowledge of MS Office package (Word, Excel andAccess) is essential with previous engineering or technical product sales a distinct advantage.
