Position Background:
The Training Development Team are looking for a confident Instructional Systems Designer to join the team. As a member of the Training Development Team you will perform a key role in providing mission critical training solutions that are of vital importanceto our Company and to the Defence and Security of our customers. Their purpose will be to provide specialist courseware design and development services in support of our Defence platforms and services. Reporting to the Training Design and Development Manager,our Instructional Systems Designers are responsible for:
*Conducting analysis to evaluate customer technical training needs.
*Designing, developing and evaluating custom technical training courseware, assessments and assurance artefacts collaborating closely with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure content is targeted to the needs of the audience.
*Providing training services that meet the highest technical and quality standards.
*Identifying and correcting conditions and behaviours that affect employee, public and customer safety.
- Gather data to identify areas which need developing. Demonstrate through training projects and coaching as to how this can be implemented to enhance development.
*Provide instruction and guidance in the performance of instructional system design principles, methodologies and tasks.
*Be a confident problem solver who can determine new instructional strategies, methods, technologies and tools related to instructional systems design, development and delivery for internal and external customers.

**Responsibilities**:
*A thorough knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and methods of evaluation.
*A strong understanding in the design, development and assurance of custom instructor-led and distance learning courseware outputs, preferably within either the aerospace, energy, transport, or manufacturing industry.
*Preferably familiar with rotary and/or fixed wing aircrew, missioncrew, groundcrew, mechanical or avionics systems although this is not essential.
