**Role Overview**:
Your role as QA Tester will be to work with the development team to deliver tasks from the product backlog consisting of new customer enhancements, strategic business requirements, bug fixes and technical debt prioritised by the Product Owner. In addition, there will be times when there is a requirement to work with other parts of the business to establish a unified cohesive approach to issue reporting, and quality control. Within development, work should be progressed through the development lifecycle from coding, code review, testing and release into production. The QA/test function will produce detailed bug analysis and replication steps for any issues found that can be fed back to development colleagues and often form a conduit between support and development for newly identified issues and questions.

**Accountabilities, responsibilities & main duties**:

- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to QA and testing best practice
- Follow process, suggest improvements (in technology, methodologies and team process) and embrace change
- Demonstrate an ability to accurately and concisely create issue reports and other written documents as to be understood by the intended audience
- Demonstrate a sufficient technical understanding to aid in the investigation and understanding of issues found during test
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Project a positive attitude and work as part of a dynamic, agile team
- Practise “fail fast” and learn from mistakes
- Know when to ask for help and be keen to give it
- Provide QA input for work units (Jira tickets) and represent this discipline at team meetings
- Collaborate with the wider team and other parts of the business (e.g., Support) to aid in the creation of unified cohesive approach to how defects are reported and to aid in investigation
- Where possible act as the first touchpoint for issue investigation to ensure all necessary steps have been followed before the work progresses to a developer
