Orwell Housing Association are looking for a new Registered Manager to join our extra care service, Levington Court in Lowestoft We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who is confident in the knowledge that they can lead a team to bringabout effective and long-lasting change Care to join us?

**The Role**:
As part of the role, you will
- Be the Registered Manager for CQC.
- Ensure compliance with best practice, legislation, Orwell policies, Safeguarding frameworks and CQC regulations.
- Monitor the commercial performance of the service and ensure the service operatives effectively within agreed budgetary parameters.
- Ensure the highest quality person-centered care is delivered and ensure the care team receive specified training to delivery and safely and effectively.
- Ensure that all statutory safeguarding regulations are adhered to.
- Oversee the recruitment and retention of staff at the service.

**About you**:
You will have proven experience of working with older persons, people living with dementia and end of life care.

As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the operational day to day management of the service. Leading the team in achieving and where possible improving the CQC rating, whilst ensuring the delivery of the highest quality person-centeredcare.

Strong leadership means that you will be working with the team in developing a vision and values for the service, helping them to better understand targets and regulatory compliance or addressing a specific deficit in a given place and always have the resident’swellbeing in mind above anything else.
- Hold Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care and a Leadership qualification or willingness to gain a qualification in the Orwell Academy.
- Experience of CQC inspections and managing a care service.
- Have proven working knowledge of risk and needs management and safeguarding legislation and good practice.
- Understand the Health and Social Care legislation.
- Have knowledge of dementia care, end of life care and older person care.
- Be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Housing experience is essential for this role

**Person Specification**
- GCSE Maths and English (grades A-C / 9-4 or equivalent)
- A full driving licence, is essential
