**ABOUT US**:

At our site in Hyde, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Controller who has a strong background in warehouse organisation, management and stock control. With 1 Direct report you will have a high level of operational efficiency, accuracy and collaborative working.

As part of the warehousing team, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Warehouse professional looking for a role that offers that little bit more. Not only will you undertake your typical duties, we will also train you across other areas of the business, meaning you will become an integral part of a multi-skilled team.

You will feel the ownership of your work from the beginning, be given exciting assignments, lead initiatives and take ownership and responsibility.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Complete all computer duties on NAV and on Transport portals.
- Managing the daily warehouse output of shipments, liaising with both Sales teams and Customers
- Ensure all picks are completed to the planning sheet
- H&S regulations are adhered to, and any concerns are raised immediately, recorded accordingly and resolved ASAP
- Ensure all direct reports are fully trained to all aspects of their role
- Set standards within the warehouse through time keeping, tidiness and work ethic
- Use of scanners and internal computer systems for picking, shipping, stock checking, put-away’s, stock relocating and stock checks
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, raising concerns immediately if they arise
- Packing of UK and Export orders suitable for safe transit including palletising, heat wrapping, banding and securing products in wooden crates
- Ensure packing instructions are followed and the package labelled with the destination
- Perpetual stock checks and annual stock checks, keeping stock discrepancies to a minimum
- Correcting errors resulting from Discrepancy Forms and learning from errors

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Valid and in date Forklift Truck Licences - both Counter Balance and Reach Licence
- Previous experience in a fast-paced Warehouse / Stores environment
- IT literate with a working knowledge of Navision
- Sound understanding of safety procedures and practises
- A good level of fitness to carry out physically demanding tasks such as the lifting and carrying involved in moving stock

**WORKING HOURS**:

- 38.5 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday 0730-1615
- Friday 0730-1300
