Transport Planner

R Recruitment Ltd is currently looking for a Transport Planner on term to perm basis for one of our clients based in Knowsley (L34 9HP).

The Offer:

- First 12 weeks (term to perm basis) is £23,000 per year
- After 12 weeks is £27,500 salary per year
- Day Shift Position
- 4 on/ 4 off
- 12 hours shift

The Role:

- Identify accurately requirements for Drivers on a weekly/daily basis.
- Collating collection and delivery information using bespoke TMS.
- Creating collection plans to inform suppliers of loading requirements in a timely manner.
- Maintaining depot standard plan information.
- Ensuring driver standards are upheld and maintained.
- Formulating and communicating accurate depot transport plan for the next day’s operation.
- Customer/Supplier/Subcontractor management at a number of levels to ensure that key information is communicated, and the daily plans are achieved.
- Out of hours gate control for the site.

The Person:

- Previous experience in a distribution, operations or Transport function.
- Effective interpersonal and clear communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Working knowledge of planning systems.
- Working knowledge of transport hours and regulations.
