Optical Assistant

**Duties**:

- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyewear
- Take accurate measurements and adjust frames to ensure proper fit
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other optical products
- Process orders and perform basic repairs and adjustments on eyewear
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
- Schedule appointments and manage the flow of patients in the office
- Utilize aseptic technique when handling contact lenses and other optical equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in retail management or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing and medical records is a plus
- Familiarity with retail math systems and Epic software is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Experience working with senior care patients is a bonus

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge of medical billing, medical records, retail math systems, and Epic software. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work well in a team will contribute to the success of our optical department.

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
