Premises Officer

**The Estates Department are looking to recruit 2 Premises Officers on a full time, permanent basis to help provide maintenance for the infrastructure of the police premises, their contents and surroundings.**

**Our work stands out from other departments, and as a Premises Officer you will get involved in a wide range of duties so no project or job will be the same.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- To undertake basic electrical repairs and plumbing tasks, e.g. replacing fuses and un-blocking sinks.
- To carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance to premises, internally and externally to maintain a safe working environment.
- To undertake regular inspections of authorised power tools and equipment and report any actions.
- To record details of jobs to enable management information to be collated and communicated and enable efficiency developments of the role.

**The must haves**
- To hold a NVQ level 3 in one construction craft OR equivalent or be able to demonstrate ability to the above level by work experience.
- Hold a driving license that permits driving large vans and travelling within the Force Area.
- Experience of undertaking maintenance and repair work in a variety of disciplines e.g. carpentry decorating and plumbing etc.
- Basic understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

Please note, you will be required to perform physical work including lifting, moving and handling. *
