Merrifield Consultants are delighted to partner with the amazing Bobath Centre to find a Grants and Trusts Fundraiser to join a friendly and professional team, by providing initiative, skill and demonstrated ability to raise funds to support the valuable work of The National Bobath Cerebral Centre. The role will lead on building and maintaining relationships with current and new funders, as well as raising funds that will support their incredible programmes which benefit people of all ages with Cerebral Palsy and similar neurological conditions.

Job Title: Grants and Trusts Fundraiser

Organisation: The National Bobath Cerebral Palsy Centre

Reporting to: Senior Fundraising Manager

**Salary**: £30-35,000 FTE depending on experience

Contract: Part Time (3.5 - 4 days pw or 26-30 hours)

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire (Hybrid working, 1-2 days in the office)

The National Bobath Cerebral Palsy Centre is a charity which is passionate about supporting people living with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and similar neurological conditions, to realise and achieve their fullest potential. CP is a lifelong neurological condition, affecting movement, muscle coordination, and posture that leads to physical disabilities. CP is the most common physical disability of childhood.

Their aim is to improve lives affected by CP, so they experience improved mobility and health through neuro-therapy, to enhance their quality of life. Their multidisciplinary approach includes using physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists and providing specialised clinical and support services, tailored to each person. They are also home to the UK’s premier teaching centre providing training courses to therapy professionals across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

- Research and write successful funding bids to new and existing funders.
- Increase the prospect list of funders by identifying new funders from a range of sources and understand their giving objectives and requirements.
- Provide excellent stewardship to funders through the acknowledgement of donations in a prompt fashion and the creation of timely and compelling progress reports which demonstrate outcomes and impact.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with funders through professional account management and communicate the impact of their support through a variety of channels.
- Develop and build strong relationships with colleagues across the charity to draw out information, case studies, budget and project work to collate and prepare end of grant or interim reports.
- Deliver against agreed income and expenditure targets.
- Other duties as may be reasonably required.

Skills and Experience:

- A good understanding of trust fundraising and trends.
- Understanding of GDPR requirements and awareness of EDI.
- High level of communication, interpersonal and PR skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take the initiative, be creative and proactive.
- Ability to use ICT systems and packages, including Microsoft Office and CRM databases.
- Able to represent the needs of their service users and create a stewardship journey.
