An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, Specialist, Surgical/Upper GI Dietitian in University Hospital Wishaw, NHS Lanarkshire.

We are looking for a skilled, innovative dietitian with excellent service development and communication skills who will:

- provide a clinical service to surgical and upper GI inpatients within University Hospital Wishaw and upper GI outpatients in a multidisciplinary clinic setting, at University Hospital Hairmyers. Within this post there will be a focus on:

- Adult Surgical patients including Upper GI patients.
- Enteral Feeding and nutritionally supporting patients in hospital and post hospital discharge with ongoing community care
- Developing the upper GI dietetic service including project management and data collection.
- Education and management of band 4 dietetic HCSW staff
- demonstrate excellent team working skills and the ability to work using own initiative.
- be a source of professional dietetic advice in Surgical Upper GI patients.
- contribute to service development, quality improvement and other project management initiatives.
- be an active participant in student training.
- have excellent time management skills.
- have working knowledge of basic information technology.

You will be a Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration. This post requires travel across NHS Lanarkshire - a full driving license is essential.

Community and hospital based dietetic teams work closely together to provide care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
