**The Role**
**Job Purpose**
- Working as part of a team you will be directly involved in constructing and delivering all aspects of overhead line works up to 33kV.
- You will work on a variety of challenging refurbishment, diversion and new build projects. Replacing conductors wood poles, plant and equipment including transformers, cable terminations, switchgear, LV equipment, services, etc.
- Training will be given to expand your competencies.
**Principal Accountabilities**
- Construct/maintain/replace overhead electrical networks up to and including 33kV.
- Ensure to lead by example and safely undertake works as directed.
- Conduct and abide by risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and report changes to your Chargehand.
- Ability to always work safely and in line with Company and statutory safety requirements within Ipsum.
- Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures and client/Company distribution safety rules.
- Install overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards.
- Ensure to highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager.
- Ability to mentor other team members including LE2 Linesman and provide guidance on construction/safety issues.
- Ability to interact with members of the public in a professional and courteous manner
**The Person**
**Qualifications**
- Hold current DNO authorisations preferably UKPN (Work on Dead Networks, Live LV Working)
- IPAF accreditation
- NRSWA Operative
- IOSH Working safely qualification
- Driving licence with C1+E category
- City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322)
- NPTC Chainsaw qualification
**Knowledge & Experience**
- Previous Experience as A Linesman.
- Working On Shutdowns, Connecting Generators, Polarity Testing, Etc
- 33Kv, 11Kv Heavy / Light Construction / BLX, LV Open Wire, ABC & Services
**Skills & Personal Qualities**
- Full UK Driving License
- A Team Player That is Enthusiastic and Willing to Participate in Achieving a Class-Leading Business
- Have a Risk Adverse Attitude.
- Computer literate skills and be able to use a tablet
- Interact with members of the public in a polite and courteous manner
