The postholder will work as part of the NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board Maternity and Neonatal Transformation Team, working at both an operational and strategic level. To provide management and leadership for the successful implementation of the Infant feeding pathway within the Neonatal service at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust (ULHT).

To facilitate and embed the recognised Neonatal UNICEF Baby Friendly standards, at a local level, providing a quality family experience within the Neonatal Services.

The postholder will develop and implement pathways necessary to achieve UNICEF Neonatal Baby Friendly status award. Will coordinate and facilitate training and education and contribute to the development of policies and guidelines. Provide continuous monitoring and reporting around infant feeding and to improve breast milk optimisation for the sick and preterm infant.

The postholder will provide specialist support to Medical and Nursing staff to enhance infant feeding choices for families within the UNICEF framework.

The postholder will be accountable through the LMNS and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate infant feeding services and the National Infant Feeding Network (NIFN) East Midlands.

The postholder will manager a specific workload which includes advice and training support for staff within infant feeding.
