Hello,

We are small accountancy practice, that has number of good quality clients. We are looking to hire a bookkeeper - ideally with experience in a firm of accountants.

A fundamental part of the role is the ability to be able to maintain and reconcile a bank account accurately as well as other balance sheet items and ideally be able to prepare accounts to trial balance stage. On the job practical experience in cloud based software is essential (Xero/QuickBooks etc).

Experience with property developers would be amazing

Hours can be flexible - as is location. You can be office based or work from home - however you will however need to visit the office (in Kettering) as an when required, and there may be some client visits.

We aren't the biggest firm and no desire to be, but are a pleasant place to work and have a client base of nice and organised clients. You will be a joining an existing team of 4.

Tax knowledge an advantage but not necessary. You will be working on a varied portfolio of clients with a mix of compliance and project work.

You will need practical on the job experience, (not just educational) as the right person will need to hit the ground running immediately with the ability to exercise their judgement in the work being undertaken.
