**Cambridge Regional College **are currently looking for a dynamic teacher to work across our BTEC L3 Forensics and Criminal Investigation courses based in Cambridge.

**About the role**:
You will be primarily responsible for:

- the delivery of the Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation units within our BTEC Forensic & Criminal Investigation course. The hours will be 37 hours per week with hours allocated as a personal and group tutor for these courses. Currently the units planned are as follows:
Forensic Investigation
- Unit 1: Principles and Applications of Science
- Unit 2: Practical Scientific Procedures
- Unit 3: Science Investigation Skills
- Unit 4: Forensic Investigation Procedures in Practice
- Unit 5: Applications of Criminology
- Unit 6: Criminal Investigation Procedures in Practice
- Unit 7: Applications of Criminal and Forensic Psychology
- Unit 8: Physiology of the Human Body
- Unit 11: Forensic Traffic Investigation
- Unit 13: Forensic Genetics
- Unit 15 Practical Chemical Analysis
- Unit 16: Microbiology and Microbiological Techniques

You will need to prepare all lessons and keep the college’s Moodle pages (VLE) / MS Teams up to date to support learning. As part of the role, you will also be required to assess work electronically (through MS Teams), internally moderate students’ work and participate in External verifier meetings. You will need to follow Quality Assurance processes both within the college and as part of the awarding bodies’ requirements.

**What we are looking for in our role**:

- An adaptable individual who can teach across several units as listed above and educated in Forensic Science
- A teacher training qualification (or willingness to achieve).
- Experience of the Forensics and Criminal investigations industry would be an advantage.
- An excellent awareness of health and safety within a practical setting and are able to confidently plan and supervise appropriate practical (including extended practical projects) as part of your teaching strategy.
- An inspirational teacher who makes full use of active learning strategies.
- The ability to support the development of transferable study skills in preparation for either HE or employment.
- Able to work collaboratively to ensure excellent retention and success.
- A willingness to share good practice and collaborate across the department with a good sense of humour and enthusiasm to enhance the student experience.
