**Janitor**

Location: Grove Academy

Working hours: 5 days from 7, including every fifth weekend.

The post also involves rolling early, mid and late shifts starting from 06.00am until 22.00pm (Mon - Fri ) and from 09.00 to 17.00 (Sat and Sun)

We’re a hard-working team who takes pride in keeping our customers’ buildings maintained so they’re safe and welcoming places to be in. We’re looking for someone with a friendly, can-do attitude to join our team at Grove Academy in Dundee. You’ll have great customer care skills, be able to prioritise your tasks and want to keep up our excellent standards.

Your new role:
**What you’ll do**:
- Carrying out routine and ad-hoc janitorial duties in support of all on site personnel to ensure compliance with contract conditions
- Carrying out planned janitorial maintenance duties in accordance with agreed timescales and procedures and undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence
- Supervising, developing and monitoring of all cleaning staff to ensure cleaning standards are maintained in accordance with contract conditions and agreed quality management procedures
- Maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all the school’s energy systems in accordance with agreed contract conditions
- Providing support and assistance to any other sites as directed by the Lead Janitor or Facilities Manager

**What you’ll need**:

- Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working
- Awareness of COSHH regulations
