Takeaway Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant. As an Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant. **Responsibilities**:

- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to food safety standards
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Support the team in providing excellent customer service, including upselling menu items
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- able to work saturday evenings

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
