We are looking for Catering Assistants to work on our site and support the catering team and ward environment by helping with service and taking orders; preparing/serving/cooking items for sale in the coffee shop; working in the restaurant and assisting in all other areas of catering services including wards, functions and vending as required.

You will support maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchens and other areas of the work place.

It would be beneficial, though not essential, if you have worked in a similar role previously, have good organisational skills and experience of working as part of a team.

You will be a reliable, flexible member of staff showing initiative and commitment to providing a safe, hygienic environment. - The preparation of vegetables and salad items as directed by the Chef in charge of the shift.
- The daily cleaning of all kitchen areas to maintain a high standard of hygiene as and when appropriate within the departmental cleaning schedules.
- Ensure all relevant equipment has been turned "on" prior to service and switched "off" once used.
- Assist the chef du parties with the preparation and service of patient and staff meals.
- Ensure as directed by the chef in charge that all relevant food items and accompaniments are made available to patients and staff prior to service.
- To maintain a constant supply of food items throughout service periods.
- To clean down all equipment and put away all excess food items after service.
- Maintain a high standard hygiene within the work environment at all times, while observing departmental health and hygiene polices.
