**Goods In and Dispatch Warehouse Operative**
Stashed Products is a manufacturer and supplier of novel bike storage systems. This is a new role created due to a sustained increase in worldwide orders. The role will have multiple responsibilities and tasks in various areas that will be different every day. You will be the key person who controls and processes our goods in and out of our factory. You will dispatch our unique SpaceRail bike storage system to our valuable customers.
From inspecting components, raising quality flags to helping with part processing - a unique role that will be challenging, fast paced and require a flexible skill set and the ability to learn new tasks quickly. Every day will be different, and the ideal person needs to be self-directed, motivated and problem solve without external help. **Responsibilities**:
**1. Goods In**
a. Receive goods and record quantities and quality
b. Raise quality flags
c. Place goods in to stock
d. Conduct engineering checks on dimensions, material hardnesses and quality
e. Monitor stock levels and raise purchase orders
f. Lease with suppliers on delivery dates to maintain stock levels
**2. Goods Out**
a. Receive orders
b. Be reactive to changing orders
c. Communicate with sales admin and feedback any issues on dispatch
d. Take order slips and package ready for dispatch
e. Creating delivery orders using DHL and Fedex software
f. Arranging delivery with couriers
g. Arranging and processing returns
**3. Assembly and manufacturing**
a. Building products from component parts
b. Quality checking products and components at goods-in and during the production process
c. Controlling and counting stock
**4. Packaging**
a. Building packaging ready for sale
b. Packaging products ready for distribution
c. Labelling products
**5. General**
a. General business start-up role including various tasks to setup and help run new business areas
b. Use of simple machinery and tools
c. Driving of work van for pick up and drop off with suppliers
**6. Supervising and training**
a. Allocate and monitor work for a team of Goods In and Goods Out
b. Monitor and oversee day-to-day performance of employees
c. Conduct training on production operations
d. Review employee performance and help develop skills or request suitable training
e. Resolve employee issues and manage rotas
f. Provide Health and Safety input and take responsibility for shop floor monitoring
g. Ensuring Health and safety policies are enforced and maintained.
h. Ensure risk assessments are maintained and created where necessary.
i. Maintaining and updating COSHH storage and document register.
j. Maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures documents.
**Essential Skills**
1. Ability to work in a small team and independently
2. Basic mechanical understanding of assembling products and ability to assemble intricate parts, requiring good hand dexterity
3. Ability to lift and move 25kg
4. Able to sit or stand for a prolonged period to operate small machines
5. Keen eye for detail and quality
6. Alerting required people to any problems with product assembly or quality
7. Excellent time management and self-guided work, but also able to follow a very defined list of instructions
8. Computer and smart phone literate
9. Ability to use basic functions of stock control and accounting software for data entry and job recording
10. Hands on "DIY" skills for constructing stores, photoshoot sets etc.
11. Some ability to work flexible hours when required.
12. Full UK driving license
**Desirable Skills**
1. Understanding of the bicycle and DIY world
2. Passion for cycling
3. Mechanical and product assembly understanding
4. Employee management and review skills
5. Previous leadership experience
6. Forklift license - expected to take on fork lift driving responsibilities - full training will be provided
7. Component inspection skills
8. MRP system understanding
**Remuneration**
1. Full training provided
2. £12.50/hour
3. 37.5 hour working week with half day Friday:
a. Monday - Friday / 08:15-17:00
b. Friday / 08:00-14:00
