Torpoint, United Kingdom National Trust Full time

Can you plan and deliver fun events and activities? Would you like to work with a diverse range of teams and community groups? Do you have a passion for engaging audiences through creativity?

We need someone who can innovate and lead through the annual programme of experiences and events here at Antony, giving our supporters reasons to return and inspiring the next generation of National Trust supporters.

We’re looking for the right creatively minded person to help around 30,000 visitors each year connect with the house and garden at Antony in new and meaningful ways.

What it's like to work here:Discover the story of a family who became caught up in the extraordinary events of the English Civil War. Their history is bound up in this beautiful house, which is still the home of the Carew Pole family today. Breathe in the sweeping views as you explore the landscape garden, which includes a formal garden with playful topiary, modern sculptures and a historic collection of daylilies.

What you'll be doing:You'll work closely with property teams to develop and implement high-quality, experiences, and visitor programming in order to attract a wide range of new and existing audiences. With support with property teams, you'll be leading the establishment of annual programming themes, helping deliver deeper community connections and financial business growth.

A small team is based at Antony and you'll be line managing a team of Welcome & Service Assistants, a Visitor Experience Officer, and a team of volunteers across the property. You'll also have support from the portfolio leadership team and Volunteering & Community Officer for the portfolio.

The post-holder will become the operational lead and duty manager for the property throughout the year, with support from the property team to ensure this is covered for as many days as possible.

With the family living at Antony, the property has limited opening times between April and October. This is usually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as Sundays between June-August, Bank Holidays, and other occasional dates. Between November-March Antony is closed except for a number of community and educational groups who visit. Because of this, flexibility is needed to be able to work on days the property is open or when events, community groups, and educational groups are booked.

- A focus on delivering high quality, innovative experiences
- Exceptional people and leadership skills
- Excellent planning and project management skills
- Experience with managing volunteers
- The drive to identify new programming opportunities and bring them to life
- A passion for collaborative working
- A track record of building and nurturing successful partnerships
