**Title**:
Locum Specialty Registrar (ST3+) in Paediatrics and Neonates

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Clinical Duties**:

- Provide high-quality clinical care to pediatric and neonatal patients.
- Perform examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Undertake procedures pertinent to paediatrics and neonatology, including resuscitation and stabilization of neonates.
- **Ward Management**:

- Supervise and manage the pediatric and neonatal wards.
- Coordinate with nursing, medical, and other healthcare staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Participate in ward rounds, offering expert advice and guidance.
- **Emergency Care**:

- Respond to paediatric and neonatal emergencies.
- Provide life-saving interventions as necessary.
- Work closely with the Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
- **Teaching and Supervision**:

- Mentor and supervise junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Deliver teaching sessions and participate in training programs.
- **Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration**:

- Work alongside other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and social workers, to provide holistic patient care.
- Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
- **Research and Continuous Improvement**:

- Engage in research activities relevant to paediatrics and neonatology.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
- Participate in audit and quality improvement activities.

**Requirements**:

- **Qualifications**:

- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Completed foundation training and at least 3 years of specialty training in paediatrics (ST3+).
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Certification in Neonatal Life Support (NLS) is required.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge in paediatrics and neonatology.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Experience**:

- Experience in paediatric and neonatal medicine.
- Familiarity with the management of common and complex conditions in these fields.

**Working Conditions**:

- The role may involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

The position is typically hospital-based with possible rotations in various paediatric and neonatal departments.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £70.00-£85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
