On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Project Manager/Programme Manager **for an initial 8-month contract** based in **Kildean/Edinburgh**. (Hybrid
- 2/3 days in the Edinburgh office and alternate week need to go into Kildean for 2 days for workshops/meetings)

**Purpose of the Role**:
The role is to support preparation activity related to IFRS17 go live, working closely with Senior Accounting and Actuarial stakeholders. This role will be focused on driving delivery to the detailed plans which have significant cross dependencies hencecomplexity.

**As a Project Manager/Programme Manager you will be responsible for**:

- Owning the end-to-end delivery of this high complexity projects, working closely with key business stakeholders; leading on agreed set of expected benefits and outcomes, this includes driving results production cycles and working closely with technologyon testing plans
- Escalating issues and risks quickly and efficiently to senior stakeholders to prevent slippage on the plan.
- Creating and maintaining high quality project plans (with built in risk mitigation strategies) and work packages
- Evaluating delivery options and work with the wider business to develop a full and detailed implementation plan
- Providing regular forecasts of the future Change and BAU resources required for the project planning activity, as well as the predicted requirements for full end to end project delivery
- Adhering to governance standards, including Project Change Standard and guidelines, maintaining accurate RACI and RAID logs and Service Now records
- Producing timely management information ensuring all mandatory documentation is completed and signed off at the appropriate stages during the life of the project and establish additional governance to reflect the complexity of the project as required
- Forecasting future external costs, understand the drivers of project cost variance and take actions to control costs to budgets or raise change control
- Monitoring and reporting progress to the impacted stakeholders (e.g., sponsor(s), programme manager, Change Programme Directors, steering committee) including ongoing business case viability
- Independently identifying and taking ownership of issues, risks and dependencies, making recommendations to mitigate the risk or to reduce/remove issues. Escalate where appropriate to maintain progress towards project delivery and act as an escalation pointon behalf of the Project Sponsor
- Managing resource planning and motivate the project team to ensure a high standard of output, focused on customer satisfaction and delivery through developing others through providing ongoing guidance, mentoring or coaching
- Managing relationships with required teams e.g., Technology, external suppliers and other business functions to achieve timely delivery
- Participating in improving the change capability across the firm through sharing project and change management disciplines with the wider business
- Experience of delivering projects within the Finance sector
- Strong Project Management, Communication and relationship management skills
- Being familiar with IFRS17 would be advantageous
- Must have experience of Financial Reporting and Life Company
- Self-starter, with strong lateral thought, excellent analytical skills, curiosity and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality output
