The effective and efficient use of space is a crucial factor in achieving this target, whilst maintaining the provision of high-quality student and staff experience within an Estate that is responsive to changing pedagogic needs and working practices.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Space Management Team in Facilities Business Service Support. The Business Services Support team plays a key role in supporting the wider Facilities division, comprising of Estates Development, Estates Operations, Service Delivery, Commercial Services and Sport Lancaster.

The Space Planner will assist the Space Planning Manager to support the effective management and utilisation of space across the campus. The main duties will include collection, analysis and reporting of space use data, using a variety of methods and also drawing up spatial layout feasibility plans to accommodate change and growth, for colleagues across the university. The use of AutoCAD is key to this role and experience of drawing building plans and internal layouts is essential.

The successful applicant will be highly organised, a methodical and logical thinker, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. They will have experience of working cohesively across a number of teams, managing their own workload, priorities and competing deadlines.
