**Operations Manager - Housing** - £37,412 - £41,569 per annum

**Hours** - 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible working opportunities available

**Location** - Horspath Road, Cowley

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
Overall job responsibility - To develop and manage high quality housing management and income collection service that meets the needs and aspirations of our clients and contributes towards the wider business objectives and purpose of the organisation. Useexisting expertise connected to housing, tenancy and income management to manage and implement change to streamline processes - specifically focussing on strengthening financial controls. Some of the core duties include:
- To provide effective management to the Housing and Income Team ensuring excellent customer service, achievement of targets and delivery of a comprehensive and expanding range of services.
- To provide leadership, direction, coaching, support and supervision for the day-to-day work of direct reports, including regular 121’s, annual appraisals and to ensure the achievement of high standards and targets in all aspects of assessment work throughobjective-setting, and monitoring of staff development.
- To act as the lead Housing professional at relevant multi-agency meetings and case conferences.
- To ensure that teams are providing advice and information to tenants, residents and others on all tenancy matters, welfare benefits and re-housing requests.
- To ensure that Response is collecting all income available through rents and service charges.
- To ensure that Housing Service policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated, taking account of current legislation and case law.
- To oversee the work of the Income Officers and ensure that rent and service charge payment are managed and early and preventative actions are taken to minimise arrears.
- Ensure that the interventions planned and delivered are people-centred and design to protect vulnerable adults from abuse or the risk of abuse.

- BSc, BA or undergraduate degree educated (or equivalent)
- Good working knowledge of housing law, welfare system and eligibility
- Significant, and proven, operational experience delivering housing management services
- Experience of managing and leading teams
- You must have the ability and willingness to travel across our services.
- Experience and understanding of issues and challenges connected to homelessness and mental health is desirable.
