Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students across a range of educational settings in Hitchin. Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience and development of pupils, working alongside teachers to provide additional support in classrooms.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the headteacher and class teachers.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in the assessment of students’ progress.
- Support students with learning difficulties or disabilities in their classroom activities, ensuring they access the curriculum effectively.
- Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.
- Help manage class behavior and maintain a focus on learning.
- Support the teacher in managing class dynamics and facilitating a positive learning environment.
- Assist with school events, trips, and activities which may take place at various times.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children in a learning environment is preferred.
- 1+ years of Teaching Assistant experience within the United Kingdom essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A patient and resourceful approach with a genuine passion for education.
- A valid DBS check, or willingness to undergo one.

**Q: Do I have to have Teaching Assistant experience to apply?**
