**Salary: c£23,000.00 per annum pro rata (£18,400.00pa)**

**Hours: 30 per week (permanent), 2pm finish on a Friday**

**Tues
- Wed: 8.30am-5.00pm**

**Thurs: 8.30am-5.30pm**

**Friday:8.30-2.00pm**

**Location: North Leeds Office**

**About us**

For over 145 years, Leeds Jewish Welfare Board has provided support the Jewish community and North Leeds community. Our vision is to positively change lives and we do this by delivering an extensive range of community support and registered care services to over 1,000 people every month.

**Role Summary**

We are looking for a Children and Families Officer to offer person-centred approach to working with families and children. This includes children who access our stay and play session and those with special educational needs and disabilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To support children and families to access LJWB services and activities.
- To support parents and carers to engage in their learning and development
- To offer practical and emotional support to parents and carers, promoting resilience, and achievement of positive outcomes.
- To identify any barriers to accessing services and work with individuals to overcome these

**Person Specification**:

- Level 3 Childcare qualification or relevant equivalent
- Sound knowledge and understanding of EYFS and early childhood development
- Proven experience of working within an early years or childcare setting
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
- Enthusiasm for working with very young children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**This role would suit someone with Early Years Practitioner or Room Leader experience**
