**Position overview**:
The Front End Team Leader is responsible for the day to day leadership of an effective and committed team. Focused on maintaining maximum safety, quality, and production standards.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Ensure the team always follow the Safety Standards and Rules, operating machines with care and follow the proper use of working clothes, footwear and personal protective equipment.
- Complete Safety Checks and address any issues with the team.
- Set and communicate to the team the Area Plan of Activities for the day.
- Monitor and communicate progress and support the team to deliver the targets for the day.
- Communicate issues to the team - including any quality, safety and customer related issues, risks and problems.
- Check the Quality of Products leaving the process area, communicate to the team any issues and ensure quality defects are contained and resolved.
- Prepare Production Reports and keep the area Information Boards up to date,
- Lead the team in Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement activities.
- Support training and keep training records up to date.
- Support the writing and training of area procedures and work instructions.
- Lead the team in setting and meeting high standards for daily housekeeping and tools/spares organisation
- People management responsibilities, including performance management, engagement activities, basic HR processes, return to work meetings, etc.
- Leading team briefs and communicating daily and monthly KPIs to the teams.

**Experience and skills required**:

- Previous experience of leading people in a manufacturing/industrial/warehouse industry
- Practical problem solver.
- Able to interpret numerical data.
- Attention to detail, including the ability to spot defects/mistakes.
- Ability to follow and set up new processes.
- Sound communication skills, ability to clearly explain processes.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
