Summary

We are seeking a creative an outcome focussed individual to join our Housing Service as a Property & Support Team Leader.

Our Property & Support Service was established 12 months ago and, in this time, has introduced highly successful innovations and is delivering really positive outcomes for the residents of Wiltshire.

**About the role**

As a Property Team Leader, you will develop, drive and support services across the whole county, as well as working to create innovative and creative solutions. You will lead on multi agency working, to target the specific needs of individuals, and to support a move into accommodation that is sustainable.

You will be operationally responsible for the lettings of the Council's own stock, its choice-based lettings scheme, engagement with the private rented sector in providing housing solutions, and the housing management of the Council's temporary and rough sleeper accommodation.

You will continue to design, develop, and implement new procedures and training programmes for all staff. This will involve the creation of new ways of delivering the service at the front line and the implementation of motivational, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practises.

As part of the Property & Support Service’s management team, you will work closely with the other Team Leaders and Service Manager to ensure the Service is agile and can keep up with current demands.

This is a very challenging time for the service, and you will be using your professional skills and experience to develop innovative solutions and options to help prevent homelessness and ensure housing need is met across Wiltshire.

**About you**

You should be empathic, outcome-focussed, and creative, with a commitment to working in partnership with internal and external contacts to ensure high quality and efficient service.

We expect you to be agile, customer-orientated, highly literate and have excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, as well as experience of lettings, housing management and the private rented sector.

As this is a varied role, you should have the ability to work under significant pressure and manage a number of competing demands.
