We are working with a leading financial advisory firm, which is looking for an M&A Director to join their growing team, you will be focusing on the Financial Services sector and be based in London. The business is looking for a solid performer and a personwho can lead from the front to spearhead growth

The role:
You will be leading a team that provides high-profile financial services clients with dedicated advice and support for potential mergers, acquisitions and transactions. You will have the chance to work closely with the deal team on the investigation of thetarget to ensure significant value items, risks and other matters have been identified and considered.

Your key responsibilities in this Director level role will include:

- Building and maintaining distinctive relationships with FS, PE and VC clients, demonstrating a sales track record
- Develop the business strategy to define and understand the target business models and drivers
- Leading client engagements within planned timescales
- Work with internal teams on developing new service offerings
- Evolving potential propositions to drive practice growth
- Project managing multiple work streams (e.g. tax, operations and pensions)
- Identify market trends and develop client approaches accordingly
- Leading training and developing & upskilling team members in role and sector
- Interpretation and analysis of financial and commercial information and presentation to the corporate and private equity clients in a clear, concise way both in writing and verbally
- Reporting of potential key issues to clients including identification of risk or equity price impacts

Your key skills should include:

- Proven track record of delivering performance improvement within a consultancy or corporate background
- Strong Experience with private equity portfolio companies
- Knowledge of leading the pre-deal operational due diligence and deal integration's
- FS sector focused, with a range of FS sub-sectors would be advantageous
- Strong track record in business development, including the generation of new leads
- Building solid business relationships and used to working with C-suite and senior stakeholders
- Clear communication and presentation skills
