**This role is ideal for someone with CIPD level 5 or qualified through proven experience of working in a HR team and similar job role.**

We want to recruit HR Advisor to join our small team with experience of working as a HR generalist, HR Assistant or HR Advisor.

You will be the first point of contact for the team, dealing with a wide range of HR enquiries, including advising managers on policies, procedures, employee relation matters and supporting the Head of HR with strategic projects.

**KEY RELATIONSHIPS**:HR and VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, SERVICE MANAGERS, SENIOR CENTRAL SERVICES OFFICER, SMT

**KEY PURPOSE**:

- Lead all HR administration processes required to maintain a high-performing HR team
- Liaise with managers to support the recruitment, onboarding induction process for all staff
- Manage Employee Relation (ER) cases and advise managers on HR policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain good collaborative relationships at all levels across the Centre and with Hireful

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Act as first point of contact for HR enquiries
- Lead the recruitment and on boarding process for staff
- Advise line managers on best practice regarding employee relations
- Provide general administrative duties including taking HR confidential minutes at meetings
- Manage employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and redundancy
- Responsible for general HR enquiries from service managers and staff
- Advise line managers on HR policies and procedures and support Head of HR with policy updates
- Liaise with our Finance department to provide accurate payroll data
- Liaise with our recruitment agency Hireful on recruitment campaigns
- Keep accurate records on Breathe HR system and personnel files

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Co-ordinate the full employee lifecycle, including the administration of recruitment and selection process, onboarding process, employee relations and exit interviews.
- Ensure employee records are accurate, up to date and managed with confidentiality and within the requirement of the Data Protection Act.
- Oversee the administration process of employee right to work in UK checks, references and DBS.
- Experience of supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda within an organisation and embedding good practice and process.
- Commitment to the Centre’s Mission and Values (See below)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- A willingness to give and receive honest feedback
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Highly organised individual to join our small but busy HR and Volunteer team

**ESSENTIAL**:

- CIPD qualified and/or equivalent qualification or experience
- Employee Relations casework experience
- HR experience in an organisation working alongside volunteers
- Experience of working in a charity or organisation working with vulnerable people
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail

**DESIRABLE**:

- Level 5 CIPD qualified
- Learning and Development (L&D) experience
- Familiar with Breathe HR system and if not evidence of knowledge of similar HR systems
- General knowledge and awareness of the issues around youth and family homelessness

**TERMS AND CONDITIONS**:
Salary £30,000 per annum

Holidays: 24 days, 26 after one year’s service, 28 after two years’ service

Notice Period: two months

Pension: The Centre provides a stakeholder pension scheme and will match employee contributions up to a maximum of 6%.
