Sen Tutor

Mercia Learning C.I.C. is seeking experienced Tutors to provide bespoke education at our small Alternative Provision in Hereford. We are looking to recruit staff for both face to face and online sessions. If you are dedicated to improving the educational experience of young people struggling at mainstream, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently looking for tutors with experience teach Maths, English and Science up to Functional Skill or GCSE levels.

**About Us**:
**The Role**:
As a SEN Tutor, your responsibilities include:

- Providing one-to-one support and mentoring to students with a focus on academic and personal development
- Ensure all students are treated as individuals, tailoring sessions to suit their learning style and helping them stay engaged with education
- Work as part of the Mercia Learning team to ensure our young people have a positive experience whilst with us
- Creating and implementing personalised plans to address each student's unique requirements

**Hours**:
We are looking for sessional tutors - you can let us know your availability and we will schedule students within that time. Our working hours are currently between Monday - Thursday 09:30 - 15:00.

**Our Expectations of Mentors and SEN Tutors**:

- Completion of the student assessment log to be done before the end of the day
- Commitment to support the student on their agreed program and timetable whilst they are studying with us
- Measuring success and contributing to any documentation as required

**Salary**: £20.00-£35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 30 per week
