Data Protection Lead

We are looking for an information management professional with expertise in managing personal data to join the team as Data Protection Lead, in this hybrid-working role.

Position: Data Protection Lead

Location: Hybrid/Reading

Hours: Full-time, part-time or job share

**Salary**: Starting from £43,631 pro rata

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Benefits: 28 days' annual holiday (rising to 33) plus bank holidays, Contribution to gym membership (on completion of probation), Attractive pension scheme

About the Role

Key duties include:
*Complete relevant documentation that demonstrates compliance with data protection law.

*Collaborate with colleagues in a wide variety of roles to develop information management policies and practice.

*Monitor how information flows within the organisation, and check that colleagues are following relevant policies and guidance.

*Model excellent practice in information management.

About You

As Data Protection Lead, you will have outstanding communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a pragmatic approach, along with:
*A thorough working knowledge of Data Protection legislation as it applies in the UK, including requirements of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and supplementary regulations and good practice guidance

*An understanding of what privacy by design means in practice and experience in documenting privacy considerations

*A solid understanding of good records management practice
