Fixed term, freelance contract from 23rd October to 3rd December

40 hours a week worked over 6 days with overtime as required

Interviews will be on 24th August

Essential Skills
- Work closely with the Wardrobe Supervisor to ensure efficiency of costume construction, while sticking to budgets and strict deadlines.
- Work with the designer to realise designs, drafting patterns to these specifications.
- Cut and make costumes to a high standard.
- Fit costumes accurately.
- Work with and support costume assistants with the making and finishing of costumes.
- Alter garments from stock to fit designs.
- Excellent knowledge of different fabrics and their working ability.
- Excellent knowledge of time periods and styles.
- Assist with costume maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain good working relationships with all departments across the theatre.
- Able to work to strict deadlines while maintaining high standards and paying close attention to detail.
- Able to problem-solve and work well under pressure.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
- Flexible attitude to working hours during production period.
- Help maintain a tidy workshop.

Desirable Skills
- Knowledge/skill set within related areas of costume construction such as costume props, millinery, leatherwork, fabric dying and costume breakdown.
- Full driving licence
