Hgv Mechanic

**About us**

Here at PL Transport we are a family run business with over 25 years experiance in the waste and recycling industry and we are looking for an experienced HGV mechanic to join our team at our Alton site and occasionally attending our site in langley Slough. This position will fit someone who is keen to work and to be apart of a small friendly team and expand with us as we grow.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Attend breakdowns across our fleet of vehicles
- Conduct pre mot inspections
- scheduling servicing and repairs
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- maintaining a clean and tidy work space

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Understanding of electrics and hydraulics
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Shifts - Monday to Saturday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £45,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
