MSX International is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to contribute to the timely preparation of the monthly management accounts as well as delivering reliable reporting to the UK Operations Team and UK Financial Controller.

**The Role**

In this hybrid-working role, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for all transactions that pass through MSX International’s cashbooks.

Reporting to the UK Financial Controller/Finance Team Leader, you will work within the UK Finance Team to:

- prepare and process accruals & prepayments
- take responsibility for the cashbooks and bank transactions of several companies within the UK group
- review monthly cashbook reconciliations
- process sales ledger and other miscellaneous receipts
- assist with management and control the company’s cash facilities and requirements
- assist with intercompany account reconciliations; calculate and post exchange differences
- Balance sheet reconciliations of key control accounts (accrued income, deferred income, accruals & prepayments)

**About you**

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to development and grow their knowledge within a Finance function.

As well as previous exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, our ideal Finance Assistant will:

- hold an Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA etc) (Desirable)
- have experience with J D Edwards accounting systems
- have experience with spread-sheets, cashbooks, double entry bookkeeping and reconciliations
- have two years’ experience in a similar role within a Finance environment
- have experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group
- have beginners knowledge of accounting ledgers, trial balance
- have excellent abilities with MSWord, Excel and Outlook
- have the ability to work independently
