**What is the role of an Planner at ForFarmers?**

Working as part of a team within the department that identifies, plans, orders and receives Raw Materials to satisfy demand of compound and blends on site, driven by the transport & production plans whilst adhering to Inventory, manufacturing and logistics targets. In addition to the core planning role, you will provide a weighbridge service, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing vehicles are weighed and recorded using our computerised stock system and all site product sampling schedules are adhered to.

**Key responsibilities and duties of the role include**:
**_Raw Material Planning_**

By using the computerised system we need to identify our current stock, what is required to manufacture the production requirements and order the necessary to the site. We need to understand the demands to the site in physical and practical terms of these materials and work closely with the production planner and mill operators to maximise outputs and utilise our storage space.

To ensure there are sufficient stocks also making sure we adhere to Company inventory targets by Ordering weekly requirements and checking demand Via SAP.

**_Weighbridge Duties_**

All bulk and bag vehicle delivering or collecting from this mill need to be weighed in and out with all computer transactions for these movements made in an accurate and timely manner. Booking in vehicles delivering premixes and drugs ensuring batch no’s are entered on SAP and DSL.

Sampling and testing of scheduled RM at point of Delivery, rejecting if required.

**_Product Sampling_**

Ensuring that all necessary due diligence, weekly FP samples and any others as required are sent off to the lab using sampling schedule and national forms, Ensure Sample room is keep tidy and current samples are retained

**_H&S, Environmental/Energy_**

Ensure a safety first culture operates on site and ensure that all company rules and statutory requirements are adhered to.

Perform the required activities to ensure compliance with PPC permits and Environmental management systems."

**_RM Transport._**

With the high demand taken from the local dock facility constant focus is required with our own RM vehicles to ensure the correct material is scheduled for delivery.
- experience of stock and inventory control both with computerised and physical stock systems
- Attention to detail
- Outgoing personality
- Good written and verbal communicator
- The ability to work as part of a functional team
- Good telephone manner
- The ability to work shifts as agreed between 6am and 6pm and rotated weekends. Flexible in working hours outside of standard shift patterns particularly in winter
- Strong organisational skills

The office planners work an annualised shift pattern Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.00am and 7.00pm working 8 hour shifts and cover Saturdays on a rota basis. Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness is required.
