**Monday to Friday permanent position**
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Housing Officer to join our client’s team. As a Housing Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the provision of safe, secure, and affordable housing to individuals and families within the community.
**Duties**:
- Managing the allocation of social housing, including maintaining waiting lists and allocating properties based on eligibility criteria.
- Overseeing tenancy agreements, ensuring that tenants understand their rights and responsibilities, and providing support and assistance as needed.
- Conducting regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and coordinating maintenance and repair work.
- Providing advice and support to tenants experiencing difficulties, including financial problems, housing-related issues, or personal crises.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, public administration, housing management) preferred.
- Previous experience working in housing management, social housing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of housing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
