Consultant Paediatrician

This is a special opportunity for a Paediatrician with relevant qualifications and experience to join a team of enthusiastic Child Development Service Consultant and SAS Paediatricians who are committed to provide a high quality service to the children of Bradford. If you have an interest in Neurodevelopment, there is no more fascinating place to work in the UK.

This is an excellent time to join the department as the Trust has recently invested £200,000 in the Service to develop our workforce. As a result we are currently in the process of recruiting three Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialists to act as keyworkers, as well as a new team of Child Development Clinical Support workers.

We particularly encourage those with an interest in Hearing Impaired children, SUDIC, Looked After Children, Complex Neurodisability or at risk and extremely preterm babies. There will be flexibility within the Job Description content depending on interests.

We have a mentoring programme to support new consultants, and are currently embarking on an exciting journey in collaboration with our Transformation team to embed digital developments into our daily practice.

Applicants must have excellent organisational and communication skills, be good at team work and have experience in assessing child development and management of children with complex neurodisability.
