Van Driver Cat B

Bailey Employment Services Ltd is an employment agency recruiting on behalf of our client.

Our client is a leading operator in the recycling of used car tyres located near Selby, North Yorkshire. They work with a fleet of HGV vehicles and vans for the collection of used car tyres in the north east and north west.

We are looking for a suitable driver for a temp to perm arrangement with this client. The applicant must have a B category driving licence (Full UK licence) so they can drive a 3.5t van.

**PAY**:
Mon to Fri Days £ 10.25 per hour

(THIS PAY RATE WILL BE REVIEWED IN APRIL)

Due to the location of the client’s depot, own transport is essential.

The work will be over 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. Early morning starts are required, usually between 06.00 and 07.00 and finishing between 17.00 and 18.00 or so daily. A good level of fitness is required as the tyres are loaded by hand into the van. The vans are planned for 3 full loads a day, so returning to the depot when full to unload and going out again to collect more tyres. The vans operate collecting tyres from customers closer to the depot, the HGV vehicles travel further afield.

The work is often dirty due to the tyres being left outside by the customer. Applicants must have good customer facing skills and good communication skills.

This is for an immediate start. An induction is required before starting the work.

No DR or DD endorsements will be permitted, maximum of 6 minor points.
