In this busy and varied role you will work as part of a small team to support the Orthotics service at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

The main duties of the role will involve the receipt and processing of referrals, allocating appointments to patients, ordering and receiving appliances, inputting into the Health Board’s Patient Administration System, liaising with ward staff about inpatients/suitability of an Orthotist visit and liaising with service users/Orthotists.

**Please note**: The role involves sorting and unpacking deliveries

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Excellent IT skills, ideally in using a hospital administration system (or similar) are essential and you’ll need to be an excellent, tactful communicator.

By the nature of the duties, the post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff and other service users, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.
