Are you an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer, Setter, and Operator seeking a challenging role that leverages your skills in a dynamic environment? Then we want to hear from you.
We are looking for a skilled professional to join a team in Milton Keynes, where they specialise in precision engineering for sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport, and Advanced Technologies.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to work within a growing company, utilising advanced CNC technology to produce complex components. As a CNC Turner on the nightshift team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the precision and efficiency of the production processes.
Your responsibilities as a CNC Turner:
- Set up, program, and operate advanced CNC lathes (Doosan and Mazak) to manufacture complex precision components accurately.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the most effective machining strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine machining processes and enhance production efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate at optimal performance.
- Monitor and adjust machining processes in real-time to ensure the quality and precision of finished products.
- Adhere to stringent safety standards and maintain meticulous records of production and quality control metrics.
Your current experience which will help you as a CNC Turner:
- A GCSE, diploma, or equivalent qualification, with strong technical skills in CNC machining.
- Extensive experience with Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls, and familiarity with Fanuc programming.
- At least 5 years of experience in setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes, with a proven track record in precision engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse technical problems and devise effective solutions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication abilities, capable of working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
What you can expect as a CNC Turner:
- Competitive salary up to £53k, dependent on experience.
- Company pension.
- Holiday allowance: 28 days
- Night shift Monday to Thursday - 8:30 pm to 4:30 am (39 Hours).
- Occasional Overtime available.
- Base Rate £16 - £20 an hour depending upon experience + 33% shift uplift.
Pay: £44,000.00-£53,000.00 per year
