Derby, United Kingdom University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are offering an exciting opportunity for one new member of staff to join our friendly and experienced Newborn Hearing Screening Team. As a newborn hearing screener you will work alongside the midwifery staff on the maternity wards at both the Royal Derby Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton. You will deliver a high quality newborn hearing screening service designed to identify hearing impairment in newborn babies as early as possible.

In service training is offered and the post holder is required to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Screening. Obtaining this qualification requires work in the post holders' own time for a period of 9-12 months. The course includes NHSP e-Learning modules. You will be assessed using a range of written, oral, and practical assessments, culminating in an external practical assessment.

The Newborn Hearing Screening Programme is a 7 day per week service, 8 am to 4 pm.
