**Inspection Technician / Electrical & Mechanical Test Assistant** who can accurately read and interpret CAD / technical drawings is required for a manufacturing company based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Inspection Technician / Electrical & Mechanical Test Assistantwho can accurately read and interpret CAD / technical drawings.

As the Inspection Technician / Electrical & Mechanical Test Assistant you will work from the company’s facility in High Wycombe where they design and manufacture electro-mechanical assemblies (the company will provide full training).

Working as the Inspection Technician / Electrical & Mechanical Test Assistant you will report into the Chief Inspector for the effective testing and measuring of the company’s slip ring and potentiometer products, where you will also record the results ofthe inspection activities.

**DUTIES**

Once fully trained your duties as the Inspection Technician / Electrical & Mechanical Test Assistant include:

- Perform mechanical and electrical inspection and testing of, incoming components, finished products and sub-assemblies throughout the manufacturing process as required
- Execution of the company 5S policy and relevant health and safety or environmental policies to maintain a safe working environment
- Support the investigation of concerns, both external and internal, including quarantined parts and customer rejects, ensuring that root cause is adequately identified for counter measure implementation
- Maintain information relating to departmental and process KPIs to assess ongoing performance
- Support relevant risk assessments of processes and tasks within the department

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**ESSENTIAL**
- Able to accurately read interpret and follow CAD / technical drawings
- Effective communication and time management skills.
- Good computer literacy skills (esp. Microsoft Excel and Word)

**DESIRED** (training provided)
- Adept at the creation of test and inspection reports and documentation
- Experienced in problem solving methodologies (A3, 8D)
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015
- Experienced in Lean methodologies (5S, Visual Management etc.)
