Kitchen Assistant Job Description

As a Kitchen Assistant with the Daish’s group you will be helping to maintain the high standards of cleanliness in our commercial kitchen operation. You will be guided by the chefs and required to work to our daily/weekly/monthly schedules to maintain standards. The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

- Maintain a process that ensures crockery, cutlery and all other kitchen utensils pots and pans are cleaned or washed and dried in a timely manner as directed by the chef team.
- To ensure equipment cleanliness is maintained per the schedules
- To report any damage to plant or machinery likely to cause loss of service or quality - To wear appropriate uniform if provided, along with flat, non-slip shoes. Strictly no trainers.
- Attend Training and Refresher Training sessions, as required by the hotel management.
- Be aware of company Health & Safety policy in your workplace and assist others to help to maintain a safe working environment.
- If you become concerned about any aspect of your employment that may effect yours or other people’s performance, you have a duty to report your concerns to the higher hotel management.
- Take note of the absence reporting procedure in your workplace and adhere to the policy, this greatly assists the Hotel Management and also your colleagues
