Niche Recruitment is searching for a Buying Assistant to join our exquisite Oxfordshire-based client. Offering structured training and a salary of £24,000pa alongside great company benefits, you’ll be joining a retailer that produces exceptionally crafted, unique jewellery and stylish accessories for its dedicated consumers.

**Please note that due to the rural location of the office you will require a driving licence and vehicle.**

**Within the role of Buying Assistant, your responsibilities will include**:

- Supporting the Head of Buying with daily administrative tasks and activities
- Ordering, logging & returning samples from suppliers
- Writing engaging and well-crafted product descriptions
- Accurately recording information on spreadsheets and managing paperwork relating to products selected for catalogues
- Resolving warehouse or customer queries regarding quality issues or additional information

**To be considered for the role as a Buying Assistant, you must have the following skills and experience**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- Office-based administrative experience
- A confident and articulate phone manner
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A full driving licence and own car

**The role itself**

Reporting to the Jewellery & Accessories Buyer, the Buying Assistant will be responsible for helping to deliver a range of jewellery products with a profit-driven focus. You will have strong communication skills and be confident liaising with overseas suppliers to help ensure production and delivery deadlines are met on time and within budget. You will need a creative nature with a keen eye for detail when it comes to writing product descriptions and be computer literate for uploading to the website.

Working for a multi-channel retail brand, that specialises in Womenswear, Menswear, Accessories, Jewellery, Food and Homewares. The Buying Assistant will support the Jewellery & Accessories Buyer with a variety of tasks, giving you great exposure to all aspects of the buying process. A driving licence and access to your own transport are essential due to the rural location. This is a hybrid working role with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
