**Job Summary**

**Based in Ulverston**, Astec is a manufacturer of high-quality, precision, micro and miniature turned parts ranging from 0.2mm to 42mm in diameter. We cater for small to medium volumes, and supply into the aerospace, defence, oil and gas, subsea and medical sectors. Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for CNC Operators with sliding head experience but full training will be provided.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

1) Generating and adapting CNC programmes, setting tooling and operating CNC machines.

2) Working to production targets maintaining accurate records and documentation.

3) Use of inspection equipment to perform initial quality checks.

**Qualifications and Skills**

Time-served or experienced machinist.

Previous experience operating Slidinghead lathes and Fanuc programming is beneficial, but not essential.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
