Working within a procurement team, negotiating with suppliers for better prices and service and delivering a professional procurement service to the business.

**What you’ll be doing as our Senior Buyer**:

- To purchase the best quality materials at the lowest possible purchase cost.
- To ensure the materials are ordered and received when necessary to meet business requirements.
- Review existing suppliers.
- Evaluate suppliers on multiple criteria (price, quality, service support, availability, reliability, selection etc.) and obtaining competitive quotes where ever possible.
- The Senior Buyer needs to be familiar with the technical aspects of the goods they are purchasing. And show a willingness to learn more about their product set.
- To concentrate on negotiating and supervising supply contracts.
- Have a good awareness of market conditions and effects on procurement.
- Have an understanding of cost, availability, and suitability of parts and materials.
- Use the team buying method, by liaising with other employees in the Company when negotiating purchases.
- To create materials, supplier price lists and place purchase orders.
- To check that goods are delivered in the time required.
- Report back to the Purchasing Manager.
- Responsible for the implementation of BS ISO / IEC 27001 data security management, whilst upholding the ethos of the standard, associated legislation, Company procedures and policies

- A broad IT communications Purchasing background
- High degree of energy, enthusiasm and professionalism with a can do attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A good level of Microsoft Knowledge including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Sage Line 500
- Accuracy in material creation
- Accuracy in orders placed
- Price savings using negotiation skills
- Turnaround from Reg to order
