**Progress Teachers** are working with a **mainstream secondary school**, who are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced **Assistant SENCo** to enhance the provision for students with Special Educational Needs **(SEN).**

As an Assistant SENCo, you will work closely with the Executive SENCo to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of special education provision across the school. You will play a key role in supporting the inclusion of students with additional needs, working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the identification, assessment, and monitoring of students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide guidance and support to teaching staff in adapting curriculum materials for students with additional needs.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and other professionals to enhance the support network for students.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of staff training on SEN-related topics.
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions as required to specific groups of students.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working in a secondary school setting.
- Additional qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Inclusion (desirable).
- Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
