- In Network Operations we monitor and manage BT’s UK and global networks and services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This includes our UK and global transmission networks, our UK core IP networks that serve our customers who use broadband, Ethernet and Mobile. We manage BTs internet peering connections and services, Europe’s largest Wi-Fi network, the power and environmental services at all of our exchanges, as well as all of the internal IP networks serving BT staff and buildings around the globe. Furthermore, we have a dedicated Cyber Security team, thwarting multiple attacks per day, and a newly formed Network Cloud team, virtualising our data centres to support ever-changing and expanding technologies. This role is key to providing inclusive OSS support, development & delivery to existing Network Operations transformation. The role holder will need to drive requirements into development teams through the BT Storm process as well as responsible for managing & guiding OSS decisions for a wide range of projects**What I'll be doing - your accountabilities?**
- Working alongside the transformation team to support Network Operations with OSS, contributing to successful acceptance into service projects.
- Provide OSS specific knowledge to business cases to secure the strategic & future tooling requirements.
- Responsible for delivery of OSS transformation activities for Network Operations & Service Repair processes, tools & systems across all current and future platforms, services & technologies to provide higher levels of automation & removal of high-volume manual transactions in order to reduce people intensity.
- Deliver strategic OSS systems working with business units to create brilliant systems for our people.
- Use knowledge of networks and the operating support systems (OSS) to influence the next generation of OSS.
- Using knowledge to prioritise workstack to align with NOC MTP & urgent requests.
- Collation & reporting of NOC OSS statistics.

**Capabilities required for the job**
- Use data analytics: Present data to assist in OSS decisions.
- Network Technology: A knowledge of UK & Global infrastructure, services & technologies and OSS tools used.
- Be agile: Promotes collaborative and agile ways of working through
- Be Tech Savvy: Provide technical know-how, contributing to design, incident management & solutions
- Give specialised advice: Proactively promote OSS and react to the immediate requirements.
- Design Tools: Proficient using design tools, seeks opportunities to develop new design tools for BT, and for external adoption. Understanding of BT’s C2M process including STORM, JIRA, ACF, SACS.

**Desirable skills**:

- Ability to analyse tools and system capabilities.
